About us . . .

Western Downs Libraries is a contempory and vital library service that comprises nine branches which were formed after the amalgamation of Dalby, Wambo, Chinchilla, Tara, Murilla and part of Taroom Shire Councils.   We combined one Independent Library Service of three branches with six Country Lending Service Libraries.  Over time we have blended into One Library Service - with nine service delivery points, our customers now have access to an online catalogue with many enhanced features and a support network to ensure an outstanding level of service and a wide range of quality resources.
